Hi Asher,
I heard about this conspiracy from a local sports radio show, and so I
decided to read it. It is really amazing and can see how this could be all
true. My question is how do you know all the information that you are quoted
as saying in the article???
Also, you never mentioned if craig biggio, berkman, etc. juiced up also. Do
you have any evidence of that? Bagwell & Biggio are really tight; so I
thought. Also, where was bagwell getting his juice from? Do you see baseball
or congress eventually coming after jeff, and realizing he started this
whole pandora's box???
Again, very interesting article and living here in houston and being an
astros fan; it is very good to know. I appreciate all your feedback.
Daniel

Dear Daniel,
Thanks so much for writing. It is always good to know that people are checking out the site.
However, unfortunately I have to tell you that the Bagwell Conspiracy is satirical - it is not actually true. I wrote it a couple of years ago to make fun of the whole steroids thing, and I chose Bagwell as my centerpiece because I don't actually think he did steroids.
The wink and elbow nudge, the giveaway that it is all a farce, is the part where I say that Mark McGwire is the lone unblemished person in all of this.
However, I will say that I wrote this before Canseco came out with his book, and before the Bonds book. I literally hypothesized, without any evidence, that the proliferation of steroids was actually just a result of passing from player to player. According to Canseco, this is exactly how it happened.
So, the Bagwell Conspiracy is, sorry to say, a farce. However, it is food for thought. Kinda makes you say hmmm . . . .
Thanks for writing,
Asher
